My Journey with Placoso: From Silence to Sound and Art
As I gear up to get back to making music, I find myself reflecting on the years I paused. I stopped making music in 2018, just before COVID-19 changed everything. That year marked a turning point in my life — I left the city I was in, parted ways with my girl, and watched the world shut down for three long years.
During this time, I faced some of my toughest moments. I experienced my mother’s near-death, which left me taking care of my family and dealing with loss. I moved to a new city, started a new chapter, and began doing tattoos in downtown Guadalajara. Living alone, I was focused on survival, on pushing forward despite feeling isolated. I dedicated myself to my art, sharing my tattoo designs, and building my craft.
As my tattoo work gained traction, I realized I could make this into something more. I started sharing my art, my designs, and my creativity beyond tattoos. But even with progress, I took a break from music. I was focused on making money, stacking my savings, and trying to find stability. Yet, I soon learned that money alone doesn’t bring happiness. The thing that truly made me feel like myself was art and music.
Over time, family issues settled, and I found myself working on new DJ sets. I was still in the same city, with my money growing but no clear path forward. However, my project, Placoso, was gaining momentum. I started designing new merchandise, and people began liking what I created. Despite setbacks — things that almost broke my progress — I kept pushing.
People kept reaching out for new designs, merchandise, and projects. Music, art, fashion — these were my passions outside of the struggles. Placoso became more than just a brand; it was a reflection of my love for sharing art and creativity.

Then, life threw another curveball: the girl who left me during COVID reached out, calling me to start a new family. I thought I had a second chance. But that only led to losing my brand and a setback that lasted a year. After my mother’s passing, I found myself alone again, starting from zero. But this time, I knew I had to keep going — to rebuild, to create, and to push through.
I started designing new pieces, fueled by a hunger to succeed. It wasn’t easy, and every time I felt close to breaking through, something would challenge me. But I kept going. People continued to support my art, my merchandise, and my vision.
Placoso is more than just a project; it’s a reflection of my passion, resilience, and love for art and music. It’s about sharing my journey, my struggles, and my growth with the world.
Soon, I’ll be in a new city, working with my projects, making music, and sharing my art once again. This is just the beginning. I’m excited for what’s next, and I’ll keep pushing forward — because this is my story, and I’m just getting started.
Thank you for supporting my journey.
This is just the beginning.
